“After more than 30 years as a woman in investment banking, I can measure the progress made by women in politics, finance, business generally since my start. But I can also feel what still needs to be achieved to get to a balanced level playing field for women to be in power with the same exact chances to get there than men……….Systematically increase the salary of women when the announce their pregnancy. Not when they come back, but when they announce they will go on maternity leave. This will make sure they will not be disadvantaged by their maternity leave and I ´m convinced this will change the way they feel bonded to their employer……….Women are still not at ease – for cultural reasons or as a result of education – with the question of leadership and the necessity to develop those skills early”
